North America: 3.5 × 2 inches (89 × 51 mm) — the most common size worldwide. Europe (ISO): 85 × 55 mm — slightly wider and taller, matches credit card dimensions. Design tips for effective business cards

Keep it clean — include only essential information. A cluttered card is harder to read and looks unprofessional. Use readable font sizes — name should be at least 10pt, other text at least 8pt. Leave white space — margins and breathing room between elements make the card easier to scan. Choose colors wisely — dark backgrounds with light text look premium but cost more to print (more ink). Light backgrounds with dark text are classic and universally readable. Include a QR code — link to your portfolio, LinkedIn, or vCard for easy digital follow-up.
