What is an image watermark?
A watermark is text or a logo overlaid on an image, typically semi-transparent, to indicate ownership, copyright, or branding. Watermarks help protect images from unauthorized use while still allowing the image to be previewed. This tool adds text watermarks directly in your browser using the Canvas API — your images are never uploaded to any server.
